Jun 24, 2026"Tried the claypot bkt kon lou meen (dried noodles) as recommended in socmed. This dish I can testify is as good as claimed. Reasonably priced RM12 at the time of this review, the kon lou mee comes with 2 pieces of braised pork ribs ribs and 2 pieces of belly pork. The mee is standard Vits/Maggi type noodle that was tossed and coated in a gelatinous concoction of soy sauce. The portion however was a bit small, not nearly enough even for a light eater. The bonus was the bits of noodles that stuck to the sides of the burning hot claypot - they were seared to crispy deliciousness. The bkt soup that came with the noodles tasted a bit odd to me. I'm not sure what ingredients they put in there but I didn't much like the taste. It was also much too salty for me. The kopi though was fantastic. Rich, aromatic and with just the right level of sweetness. Overall verdict: Food: 4.5/5 (tasty but small portion) Drink: 5/5 (kopi slaps) Ambience: 3/5 (stuffy even with fans at full speed)"
